Ysabel Rumkorf

Through the activation of behavior and habits, Dutch designer Ysabel Rumkorf creates awareness that leads to support, understanding, and behavior change in everyday life. Studio Lalou’s practice includes participatory installations, furniture, and spatial design, as well as graphic design through print, projection mapping, and material research. During the design process, the approach is a combination of listening, observing, testing, and experimenting in which the target audience plays a leading role. This creates a product or process that reaches both the end goal and the end-user.

Studio Lalou started as a graphic design studio with an interest in print and branding. Since then, we broadened our knowledge to projection mapping, material research, and social design. Social design plays a primary part in our design process. Ysabel Rumkorf has become interested in human behavior and their surroundings and how design can influence these.
